“It’s not surprising to see a second strong reporting period in a row,” Chase Bourdelaise, the company’s research director for the Northeast, said in a statement.
"This is the first quarter of the year in which all three industrial property types posted positive gains," Transwestern's director of research for the Northeast, Chase Bourdelaise, said in a prepared statement. "When you pair the results with the office market, it's clear that Greater Boston's commercial real estate is realizing one of its strongest growth periods."
Asked why vacancy in the manufacturing market is declining, Chase Bourdelaise, research director at Transwestern, pointed to improved business conditions.
Chase Bourdelaise, the research director of Transwestern RBJ, said the demand for warehouse and factory space was rising nationally and in Boston. E-commerce companies are trying to rent warehouse space fulfillment centers near major cities, he said, while manufacturers were looking for spaces that could accomodate robots and large machinery.
Transwestern has hired Chase Bourdelaiseas director of research for the Northeast region, marking the first time the firm has had a single head of research for its New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Connecticut offices, GlobeSt.com has learned exclusively. He’ll be based out of the Boston office, and he’ll be responsible for crafting custom research projects for the firm’s clients and brokers, publishing quarterly research reports and tracking market trends and statistics.
